Description:
Single tree, reaching 20 m high with a diameter of up to 40 cm. Leaves alternate, odd finned with 5-7 leaflets. Strand-stemmed leaves are elliptical, oval or oblong. Inflorescence is located on a branch or trunk that hangs down. Fruit round to oval shape, short hairy or smooth. Young yellow rind grayish, thin and sticky white as milk. Fruit usually have a bitter seeds, each seed having two embryos, encased by a layer of transparent, fleshy and firmly attached to the seed. There are 3 types namely Duku Duku, pisitan and kokosan. Duku is the most delicious fruits, rounded oval shape, fruit skin is not sticky when ripe, its skin is slightly thicker than the other two kinds. Pisitan fruits are small, elongated shape, with a little sap on the skin of the fruit, large seeds and thin the fruit flesh, fruit acids and difficult to peel. Kokosan have a large fruit, oval shape, it feels good, sticky white skin, flesh thick, containing water and keasam-asaman.
Distribution / Dissemination:
The plant was thought to have come from West-East Asia, from Thailand Peninsula in the west to Kalimantan in the east. However complexioned been planted in Vietnam, Burma, India, Sri Lanka, Hawaii, Australia, Suriname and Puerto Rico.

Habitat:
Complexioned plant can grow well in the lowlands until at an altitude of 500 masl. With this type of moist to slightly wet climate with rainfall between 1500-2500 mm per year and evenly throughout the year. Suitable soil pH is 6-7, Duku plants are relatively more tolerant to acidic soil conditions.
Propagation:
Langsat can be propagated by seeds, can be chosen from saplings that grew around the mother tree. Langsatpun can be obtained by graft, but requires more attention, so get satisfactory results. In general, a lot of grafting complexioned now to get a better quality fruit. Early seedling growth is very slow. Benefits of plant:
