Entrepreneur Budi Hartono still leading as the richest man in Indonesia in the list of the richest 150 people in Indonesia who was released by Globe Asia Magazine, Monday (05/31/2010).
The owner of Djarum tobacco company has total assets of 4.8 billion U.S. dollars, or around Rp 44 trillion. This figure rose rose about 0.7 billion U.S. dollars compared to last year which reached 4.1 billion U.S. dollars.
Budi wealth, according to the Globe, is derived from increase in share price of Bank Central Asia as well as profits from the cigarette business. With 4.8 billion U.S. dollars, Budi can buy 19 Boeing 747 pieces.
The second place is the owner of Sinar Mas Group, Eka Tjipta Wijaya, who has a wealth of 4 billion U.S. dollars. Then in the third sequence is Anthony Salim.
While the former Aburizal Bakrie managed to overtake Putra Sampoerna in fourth position. Putra Sampoerna slipped into position 6, while the fifth position is occupied by Martua Sitorus, owner of Wilmar International Holding Group.
Total of 150 richest people in Indonesia, this year rose 22 percent to 61.5 billion U.S. dollars. That number represents about 12 percent of Indonesia's gross domestic product.
With economic growth reached 5 percent, the value of property tycoons will continue to increase.
